Discover different ways to play and learn with Eddy cards. Each game is designed to stimulate language development, attention, and creativity.
Pairs by Category
Objective: classify, language
How to play: Place 6-10 mixed cards. Ask the child to group by type: "Things we eat", "animals", etc. You can give clues: "Look for something that is eaten and is red...".
Mini Stories
Objective: language development and creativity
How to play: Draw 2-3 random cards: a person, an object, an action. Create a mini story: "Mom uses the spoon to eat." Let the child imitate or complete parts.
Simon Says... with Cards
Objective: verbal comprehension, movement
How to play: Select action or body part cards. "Simon says: touch your head", "Simon says: jump like in the card".
Treasure Basket + Card
Objective: real-object association
How to play: Put 3-4 real objects (spoon, shoe, ball...). Show a card and have them look for the corresponding real object.
Destination: The Right Place
Objective: logical relationships (places category)
How to play: Put place cards like "home", "park", "store". The child must place other cards on top: In "home": sleep, mom, eat... In "park": ball, tree, play...
Riddles
Objective: receptive language
How to play: Show 4 cards. Give very simple clues: "It is red... we eat it..." (🍎) "Used to dress... goes on the feet..." (shoe)
The Category Train
Objective: sequences and classification
How to play: Choose a category (e.g., food). Put a "locomotive" card and ask the child to add "wagons" of the same category.
Shapes and Colors in Action
Objective: basic concepts
How to play: Mix shape and color cards. Ask: "Find something red", "something round", "something blue".
Eddy's Houses
Objective: classify, recognize categories and colors
How to play: Place the dividers with family names on the table. Mix the rest of the cards. The player must take a card and place it in its corresponding "house" based on the border color.
Bing-Eddy
Objective: attention, vocabulary, visual recognition
How to play: Select 9 cards and form a 3x3 board for each player. Draw cards at random and name or imitate them (for example: "A cat!" or make "meow"). If the player has that card on their board, they flip it over.
Find the Color
Objective: identify colors and associate them with real objects
How to play: The adult shows a card from the "colors" family (e.g. red). Says: "Let's find red things!". The player must find objects of the same color in the room.
Mime with Actions
Objective: understand and express actions, develop non-verbal communication, practice imitation
How to play: The player draws a card from the "actions" family. Represents the action without speaking. Others must guess what it is.
Associations
Objective: increase vocabulary, understand simple clues, relate word-image, stimulate movement
How to play: Place 5 to 10 cards on the other side of the room. The adult says a word, makes a sound or gives a clue ("used for eating"). The player runs and points to the correct card.
Where is the Card?
Objective: visual memory, attention, image recognition
How to play: Show 3 cards face up. Then turn them over. Ask the player where one of them is.
